Corruption
There is a hue and cry on corruption in India these days.No one is leaving a chance to curse political leaders for the current situation of corruption. Now, its obvious that opposition party will make it an agenda and blame ruling party for prevailing corruption........
But, what about a common man of India? Common man has been cursing political leaders for corruption for long.....
But, these days, such voices against corruption have become strong...........many messages on mobile and mails in inbox are being sent to each other to spread to all of the Indians that lacs/ crores/ millian dollers have been deposited by MLAs or MPs in foreign banks as black money...............when we all sit in a group, and talk about these topics, we forget about our own work in offices........even a dishonest clerk of an office himself criticizes Indian political leaders for making so much of money.

Sometimes I think about the root cause of corruption.......how it starts?
Think about a situation that you are having a fast(vrat) so you are hungry and seeing delicious food just before yourself.....will you eat it or not?
Same situation arises before the government employees in some departments...........Ask any person that if your son gets government job, will you be happy? answer will be 'yes'.
On asking 'why?', the reply would be,
'Arey bhai, safe and secure job with over-income'.
Nobody leaves a chance to get money under the table......No department is left without corruption...Corruption has now got social acceptance. If you are in a government job, nobody is going to believe that you are honest. If somehow you succeed in convincing them that you don't get over-income and its just your own salary on which you are surviving, then you will have to listen their comments, 'Oh fir kya fayda govt. job ka?'
They consider you to be a foolish person if you don't take bribe in a corrupt department. Actually cursing others for bribes/corruption is easy but when it comes to your own, the parameters or equations of people get changed. Actually my father is in a govt. job and in spite of being in a corrupt department, he is an honest person, so I have got the chance to see the same circumstances and listen to such comments since my childhood days. I thank god heartily that he has never sent me in such corrupt departments, so I never faced so tough situations as Papa has been facing and struggling for many years.............*In the corrupt departments, your being an honest person becomes a sin for you and your carreer*.
Oh, let us not remember those bitter memories of how the corrupt people of Papa's department have made my papa's life a struggle.
But, once again if I try to find the basic cause of corruption, I find that the cause lies in our moral values, control on our greed and the patriotism instilled in our heart and soul. If all of us become honest in our own work, then how can our country become corrupt by itself? We all have to change our attitude from just thinking about ourself to thinking about all. The recent Aadarsh housing scam of Maharashtra was due to the different parameters for the family and relatives of related Minister. We should think about all Indians as our family. This can change the current situation of corruption. And only this was the main virtue which made our old leaders different from the current leaders. Mahatma Gandhi, Subhash Chandra Boss, Deen Dayal Upadhyay, Swami Vivekanand etc. all whom we praise had thought for the whole country and so they have become the role model.
Models are made to be followed.........I hope our coming generation would follow the right path of those old true leaders.......and will help our country to wash the spot of corruption from it's face which is spoiling its beauty for long.
