GOALS

After a very long gap, today again I am in mood of writing something..... Something..... for myself, or may be for reminding myself about the commitment, I had once made in my initial posts about writing blog regularly.

Perhaps because of 4 days continuous holidays : Thursday-Mahavir Jayanti, Friday- good Friday, Saturday and Sunday- gazetted holidays....I have got some time to think. I was just analysing, whether I could do something in the direction of my goals. Though goal should be only one at a time, so I should say goal instead of goals and the ultimate goal of our life is to realize our true self or to attain the supreme bliss. However, in this materialistic world, we always deviate from our path due to many reasons.

Any how, we should set certain targets to accomplish in a small period, in the direction of that main goal. At least in this way we shall be able to crawl in that direction if not run. Sometimes I think that I do not have the burdens of responsibilities right now. I should run in this situation not crawl. There are people that have attained their supreme goal in all the similar conditions, which I am in. What pulls me back then???

At different stages of my life I had certain desires but all those could not be fulfilled. All, what I could attain was the result of my concentration for that immediate goal. Concentration means what? It is the lack of different thoughts other than that particular one.

I want to be in that state where i will be able to tame my mind, where random thoughts would not interrupt me in doing things. Where I shall remain always happy. And that is only possible in the lack of desires.

Gautam buddha had given 4 truths of life to his disciples. The essence of those 4 truths was that one can get rid of all the miseries of life only by renouncing desires. "इच्छा मात्र ही दुखों का कारण है।"

Conclusion is that I should not desire anything? What should I do then? Do the things selflessly and love only that supreme being without any desire. 😊
