        Writing a post after a long time as I was not getting time to sit in front of laptop and write, so I installed 'Blogger' app and decided to write on it.

      So, what's so special today? It's 'Sri Krishna-Janmashtami'. ☺ It 's a day of joy. I remember that in childhood days I used to make 'Rangoli' with different colours in my mandir-room at home. Sometimes I used to make Krishna paintings on Janmashtami day. At night, all my family members used to sing Krishna- bhajans....."Chhoti-Chhoti gaiya Chhote-Chhote gwaal........Chhoto so mero madan gopal."........"Vrindavan ka krishna kanhaiya sabki aankhon ka taara"

        But now, family members are not with me....however Krishna is always with me....in my heart. In Krishna, we can find "perfection" at all times - the sweetest childhood with Maiya Yashoda, colourful youth with gwaal- gopi-cows and also perfect maturity when needed i.e. Geeta-Gyan at Mahabharat Yuddha.........

He was the perfect example of a lovely child (of maiya Yashoda), a loyal friend ( of Sudama and Arjuna), a perfect lover (of all who loved him perfectly i.e. Radha ji and Gwaal- gopiyan, etc.), a perfect guide (for pandavas in Mahabharat-yaddha).

  
   He did everything with full concentration, with no ego and for the benefit of all. His playing flute provided peace to all the creatures, lifting Govardhan Parvat gave shelter to all villagers of Vrindavan, in Mahabharat-yuddha - He was the charioteer of his friend Arjuna and at the same time guiding him at each step to make sure that he wins. Even having 16000 wives was not his lust- it was the shelter to all the 16000 ladies who were released after killing 'Narakasura'- the demon who had captured them all. When Krishna asked them to return to their houses, they refused. They were aware that the society of that age would not take back such women who were kept by another man.When Krishna asked them what they wanted to do, they all expressed their wish to marry Krishna. Krishna married them all at the same auspicious time, so that they could gain status of married women and live in the society with honour again. Some stories say that each of 16,000 women were rishis in their past lives who wanted to be part of Lord's incarnation on earth. 

      On this auspicious day of Janmashtami, I pray........May we all get at least some of the virtues that Lord Sri Krishna had!! ☺
